You are invited …
on a journey of unrelenting grace. We are pleased to offer you these resources to accompany the book Unrelenting Grace: A United Methodist Way of Life by Bishop Kenneth Carter, Jr.
The book is an inspiring and practical resource for United Methodists who want to move forward with confidence and hope. As we wrestle with the effects of the pandemic, social disruption, and conflicts, Unrelenting Grace offers guidance for stepping into the future as individuals and as communities of faith.
It is easy to read, short, accessible and relevant. Oklahoma United Methodists will be able to use this in local churches and extension ministries. Our prayer is that you will engage a church-wide, intergenerational emphasis using this resource. Included in this packet are:
- Sermon Series Outlines
- Hymn Suggestions and a comprehensive list of hymns
- Children’s Activities
- Youth Activities
- Intergenerational, Mission and Outreach Ideas
We are launching this initiative at this year’s session of annual conference and are making these resources available to you.
We thank the writing and editing team: Courtney Blacksten, Lori Foster, Nancy Hamilton, Judy Horne, Dr. Tiffany Nagel Monroe, Dana Parker, Ed Parker, Adam Shahan, Dr. Charlotte Teel and Kevin Wilkinson along with Kaitlyn Cantrell and Kyla Powers.
A September series leading up to the celebration of World Communion Sunday or following Laity Sunday in October through Advent seem to be two opportune times to engage this material.
Grace and peace,
Bishop Jimmy Nunn, Episcopal Leader
Rev. Derrek Belase, Executive DIrector of Connectional Ministry
