Guidelines for using church photos/videos
Oklahoma Conference Department of Communications
It is important to follow some basic guidelines for sharing your local church photos/videos online in order to preserve people¹s privacy. Churches need to go the extra mile to ensure everyone is safe.
It is recommended that you always get permissions when possible and develop and post a Privacy Policy on your local church¹s website and companion social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, etc.). You are encouraged to discuss this with your pastor, communications person (or committee) and/or web person.
You will want to get permission from people before you publish their images on the Internet. It¹s strongly recommended you obtain written permission if you display recognizable images. It is essential that you do not provide identifying information, such as full names. This is especially important when displaying photos/videos of children, youths, and vulnerable adults.
