During Vacation Bible School at Norman-St. Stephen’s, three youngsters examine insect specimens, right, while Zayne Roberson and his father, Jarried, view an insect in extreme close-up, using a portable scanning electron microscope. The VBS theme was “Created in God’s Image.” Pastor Jeannie Himes said the VBS’ science component came to life thanks to church members associated with the University of Oklahoma. OU professors Preston Larson and Scott Russell helped teach the classes.
