Registration open for UMVIM courses

Registration for missional leadership training is now open through the United Methodist Volunteers in Mission. 

Winter Mission Academy

The Winter Mission Academy will be held online Feb. 1-12 with most classes meeting between 6 and 8 p.m. The academy is hosted by the South Central and Western Jurisdictions. 

Courses offered during the academy include :

• The Theology of Mission
• Virtual Missions
• Doing Mission Locally
• Migrant Ministries
• Blue Sky Time: Disaster Preparedness 
• Team Leader Training (3 segments--registration for all 3 is encouraged)
• Ministry of Care
• Long-Term Recovery

Team Leader Refresher Course

The Team Leader Refresher Course will take place on Feb. 6 from 9-11 a.m. The course is offered by Matt Lacey of the Southeast Jurisdiction and is hosted by UMVIM and the SEJ; all are welcome regardless of jurisdiction. 

Details and online registration are available at https://www.umvim.org/tltreg. Meeting details will be sent to participants at least a week prior to the event. Participants are asked to purchase or download a Team Leader Training Handbook prior to the event.
