Project Transformation Oklahoma calls for host church applications
Project Transformation is asking for churches who would like to host a reading site next year to apply for the Summer 2022 program.
Roxie Hacker, the Oklahoma director for Project Transformation, acknowledged that some churches may be in doubt about what their summer plans might be because of the continuing COVID-19 pandemic and the recent increase of cases in Oklahoma.
“With all of that in consideration, we do still need to determine which sites will be active as we move into this next program year,” said a statement to churches.
This summer, Project Transformation hosted a modified camp in three locations: El Reno, Muskogee and Putnam City.
“We are still tabulating data, but the reading program seems to have been very successful for the kids served this summer,” said the statement. “We are thankful to have been a small part of their growth.”
Churches who are interested in becoming new site hosts must fill out an application and submit it no later than Sept. 30. Churches who are returning from the 2019-2021 program years need to submit only the following items:
- A letter of intent to return as a host site in 2022, signed by a representative of the church and the senior pastor;
- Section III of the application, which includes liability insurance, partner church info, and budget attachments;
- An answer to the following question: Is your church willing to hold modified in-person programming, similar to the 2021 camp model, should modifications be in order due to the continued effects of the Covid-19 pandemic? Modifications may include, but are not limited to: mandatory masks, limited camper capacity, vaccine requirements, camper cohort model, social distancing, increased sanitizing procedures, etc.
All applications and letters should be sent to email@example.com no later than Sept. 30. Site selection and notification will be completed no later than Oct. 31.
