Rev. Joe Robinson, retired pastor, passed away August 15. He served many Oklahoma churches since 1976, where he started at Bennington. From Broken Arrow First to Norman Goodrich to Ponca City Albright, among many more, Robinson served as an elder until his retirement in 2010.
Phyllis Henry, widow of Rev. Bill Henry, passed away August 17. She and her husband served multiple churches across Oklahoma, plus four districts as District Superintendent. Phyllis was instrumental in forming the conference committee on parsonage standards, worked on United Methodist historical preservation, and cared deeply for all of her church family.
Rev. Virginia Kingsolver, retired elder, and mother-in-law to Rev. Stan Basler, passed away August 12. She served congregations in Velma, Lamont, and Inola. A service of remembrance was held September 1, at Trinity Woods in Tulsa. In addition to her service as clergy, Kingsolver was a teacher of drama and English. She continued to volunteer in ministry long after her retirement.
