Rev. Jack Atkinson passed away on July 3. Atkinson served in the Oklahoma Conference between 1960 and 2019, serving past his retirement in 1993. During that time, he served 10 churches: Fairfax, Yale, Ponca City-St. Paul’s, Elk City, Ada-First, OKC-St. Matthew, Miami, Enid-First, Ponca City-First and Erick. A memorial service was held on July 24 at Elk City.

Former district superintendent Rev. Don Nobles passed away on July 9. Nobles pastored eight churches between 1961 and 2001, including Ada-First, Fitzhugh, Roff, Woodville, Kingston, Moore-New Life, Edmond-First and Yukon-First. He also served as the Muskogee District’s superintendent between 1986 and 1992. A private service was held on July 14.

Rev. Michael Fletcher-Taylor passed away on July 14. He spent 28 years serving in the Oklahoma Conference and pastored eight churches: Bridgeport, Red Rock, Chapel Hill, Arapaho, Vici, Walters, OKC-Mayfair Heights and Tulsa-Hope. Per his wishes, a service for friends and family will be held on his birthday, Oct.5, at Ingram, Smith & Turner Mortuary in Yukon.
