Rev. Danny Earl Paddack passed away on Sept. 29. He pastored churches in Calumet, Edgewood, Kingston and Bartlesville between 1979 and 1991. He was 73 years old.
Retired elder Rev. John Bob Welch passed away on Oct. 7 at 91 years old. Between 1958 and 1987, Welch served pastoral appointments at Pond Creek, Maysville/Whitebead, Pryor, Grand Avenue-McAlester, Clinton-First and Altus First before serving eight years as Bartlesville District Superintendent, the first pastor in Oklahoma to do so. He retired in 1995. Visitation was held on Oct. 11, and a funeral service was held on Oct. 12 at Maysville-First.
Rev. Bill Mason, pastor emeritus at Tulsa-Asbury, passed away on Oct. 13. He was 93 years old. Mason served as the pastor of Tulsa-Asbury between 1964 and 1993. Memorial gifts may be sent to The Bill Mason Scholarship Endowment Fund at Tulsa-Asbury to support students attending Asbury Theological Seminary.
Rev. Bill Hathaway, 90, passed away on Oct. 25. He pastored churches in the Oklahoma Conference between 1950 and 2005, ministering to others even after his retirement in 1998. He is survived by his spouse, Rev. Ginny Hathaway, also a retired elder. Notes of care may be sent to 2609 Butler Way, Round Rock, TX 78665.
Rev. Arden Smith, 83, passed away on Oct. 28. He pastored 20 churches in the Oklahoma Conference between 1961 and 2002. A graveside service was held on Nov. 3.
Retired deacon Rev. Linda Muterspaugh passed away on Oct. 28 at the age of 80. She served as an associate pastor at Bartlesville-First, and she engaged in missional work with the McCurdy Mission School in New Mexico and with the General Board of Global Missions. Services were held on Nov. 2 at OKC-Quail Springs.
