Rev. William Buttram passed away on July 3. Buttram served as a pastor in Oklahoma for more than 20 years in total, leading churches such as Westville, Gore, Muskogee-Trinity, Tulsa-Aldersgate, Oktaha, Warner, Muldrow Roland Trinity, and Chouteau. Service was held on July 9 at Gore with Revs. David Burris and Marcia Martin presiding.

Rushton Eric “Rick” Davis, husband of retired deacon Rev. Suzanne Davis, passed away on July 4. Davis was an Army veteran and pioneer in the computer industry, writing algorithms that allowed divergent computer languages to communicate as well as matrices that supported commercial drilling well operations. A celebration of life was held on July 18 at Tulsa-New Haven.

Rev. Wayne Coffin, retired Conference treasurer and former Judicial Council member, died on July 4 in Oklahoma City. Coffin pastored eight churches before serving as the Conference Treasurer from 1983 to 1991. He was a delegate at the inaugural South Central Jurisdictional Conference in 1968 and was an elected clergy member of the Judicial Council from 1980 to 1996, serving as secretary in his second eight-year term. A memorial service will be held Aug. 19 at 10 a.m. at OKC-Crown Heights.
