Oklahoma Conference of the United Methodist Church

Meagan Ewton named editor in Communications Ministry

Meagan Ewton
Meagan Ewton has been named the new editor of publications for the Oklahoma Conference.

Ewton fills the position held by Holly McCray, who retired June 15 and is moving closer to family. McCray had been editor since 2005.

Communications Director Joseph Harris said, “We are excited that Meagan is a part of the Communications Ministry. She brings vision, enthusiasm, and communications skills that will help the Conference continue to be a leader in the UMC in telling the stories of how God is impacting churches and people throughout the state of Oklahoma.”

Ewton, formerly the administrator at OKC-Village UMC, also previously worked as the public relations coordinator for Rogers State University and the digital media specialist for Phillips Theological Seminary.

She graduated from Oral Roberts University in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in media.

She and husband Travis Ewton have one daughter, Jocelyn. Travis is pastor at Calumet and Red Rock.
