DVD Library adds new titles

A collection of DVDs, some with guides for leaders and participants, has been donated by Edmond-New Covenant to the DVD library at the conference center. They are available for free checkout. To see a list of titles in the library, go to https://www.okumc.org/resourcelibrary

The DVDs that have been added to the DVD library at the Ministry Center are:

Gilligan’s Island & the Seven Deadly Sins Bible Study

“The Mayberry Bible Study” Vols. 1, 2 and 4. DVDs feature classic episodes from “The Andy Griffith Show” with relevant scripture.

“Heaven is for Real,” based on Colton Burpo’s unexpected trip to heaven and back during an emergency appendectomy at age 3. His message to the world is, “Heaven is for real and you’re going to like it.”

“Before Amen,” by Max Lucado. In a four-session study, Lucado reveals how connecting with God each day can be as simple as five short sentences: “Father you are good. I need help. They need help. Thank you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

“God Is Closer Than You Think” by John Ortberg. Six sessions address how to experience intimacy with God. With participant’s guide.

“How You Are Changing: Learning About Sex.” DVD geared for boys and girls teaches preteens about the changes they are experiencing. A teacher/parent segment encourages adults to guide their children toward a godly, respectful view of sexuality. With books for young women ages 13-15 and ages 15 and up.

“Active Parenting Now,” by Michael Popkin. Six sessions for parents of children ages 5-12 about a proven approach to parenting for more harmony and happiness for you and your children. Two DVDs, book, and a PowerPoint presentation.

“Sunday School Done Right” by Allan Taylor, minister of education at the First Baptist Church of Woodstock, Ga. With leader and participant books.
