Doing good in Kingfisher

Kingfisher UMC is on its way to paying off medical debt for Oklahomans across the state.
Kingfisher UMC found a new opportunity to reach out to neighbors in novel ways. In May, they put their love of community into action. Through their “Do All the Good You Can” campaign, the congregation partnered with RIP Medical Debt to purchase debts worth nearly five million dollars for just $27,000. “We are excited to announce a new way to do a lot of good for pennies on the dollar!” exclaimed Rev. Dr. Jennifer Long. The goal could be expanded to over eight million dollars, if the church meets its goal. Donations can be made to the campaign here.
