Dates set for Western Oklahoma United Methodist Rendezvous and Revival

As the Rev. Temple Diehl, pastor of Clinton FUMC says, “There will be meals, music, messages, ministry, and missions!” All of those components will happen each night of the revival with delicious food, fun worship music, a testimony by a preacher, a time of prayer ministry, and an offering for missions.
Each evening a meal will be served buffet-style from 5 to 6:45 p.m. On Wednesday, the meal will include a Mexican dinner served by the Vida en Abundencia UMC in Laverne to help them pay for their new building. Thursday’s dinner will be chicken and dumplings and mixed veggies, salad, and dessert. Friday will be Bar-B-Que, and Saturday will be a chili cooking contest with an homemade ice cream contest.
Wednesday’s preacher is Rev. Temple Diehl of Clinton; Thursday is Rev. Scott Rodgers, senior pastor of Elk City United Methodist; Friday, Rev. Derrek Belase, Director of Connectional Ministries of the Oklahoma Conference of the United Methodist Church and former resident of Carnegie will preach; Saturday, Corey Shirey, Wesley Foundation Director at SWOSU in Weatherford, will speak.
The music will consist of a volunteer choir made up of singers from all participating churches and the New Covenant Praise Team.
Each night the revival will start at 7 p.m. and consist of music, the message, a mission offering, and will end with a time of ministry for anyone who desires prayer for salvation, answering God’s calling into service and ministry, sanctification, healing, struggles in life, or a fresh filling of the Holy Spirit.
The Western Oklahoma Rendezvous and Revival will be held at First United Methodist Church in Weatherford, Oklahoma, located at 817 N. 7th St.
On Saturday morning there will be a brunch at the Lucille’s Restaurant Community Room in Weatherford. This brunch is for United Methodist business and community leaders and their guests from western Oklahoma. Todd Russ, State Treasurer, will be the guest speaker. Attendees at the brunch will need to reserve tickets in advance to ensure adequate seating.
