Evan Young with Discipleship Ministries presented the One Matters Award to Rev. Tyler Anderson, pastor at Hydro UMC. The award is given to churches that have not seen any baptisms or professions of faith for a while, and then can get even one baptism or profession of faith. Hydro did reach one. Plus 14 more.
Jeannie Himes, retiring pastor at St. Stephens UMC in Norman, was presented the Frances E Willard Award for her tireless support of women in ministry. Himes has mentored several women clergy in the United Methodist Church and has offered her wisdom and leadership to countless women throughout her 37-year career as a United Methodist pastor.
