OCU to host peacemaking conference on March 7-8
A two-day symposium exploring systemic approaches to peacemaking in education, networking, and advocacy will be held March 7-8 in the Marvel Williamson Center of OCU’s Kramer School of Nursing.
Drawing on challenges and opportunities facing students, religious and community leaders, and social and cultural organizations, the event will examine effective ways to create community-based programs and partnerships to address issues related to peace.
Two key speakers are Neal Christie, assistant general secretary, United Methodist Board of Church & Society for Education and Leadership Formation; and Pat Hoerth, spiritual director and retreat leader at Turtle Rock Farm: A Center for Sustainability, Spirituality, and Healing on the prairie in north central Oklahoma.
