Jan. 20 Orders Meeting: Putting our lives online

Bishop Hayes has invited attorney Joy Thornburg Melton to educate Oklahoma’s clergy Jan. 20 using her book “Safe Sanctuaries in a Virtual World.”
She will teach during the Orders Meeting at OKC-St. Luke’s.
She is known as an expert in risk management and ministry protection. The book is the newest in a “Safe Sanctuaries” series by this North Georgia Conference clergywoman and Christian Educator. Based in Atlanta, she has led seminars in more than 40 states.
Melton and co-author Michelle Foster want to help church leaders use multiple media responsibly.
All clergy under appointment are expected to attend the Orders Meeting that Tuesday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Lunch will be provided courtesy of the Board of Ordained Ministry.
