Rev. Gary David Moody of Wyandotte died Oct. 10, 2013. He became an Associate Member in 1993. Gary was born Nov. 29, 1940, in Santa Monica, Calif. He married Linda Horner on April 21, 1963, in Wichita, Kan. His ministry career began in 1987 at Chickasha-Frisco Avenue. He also pastored at Wanette/Maud, Calera/Colbert, Watts/Bethel, Valliant, and Braman. After officially retiring in 2006, he served Welch, Wyandotte/Sycamore Chapel, and Foraker/Grainola/Shidler. He was a state and national leader of the United Methodist Rural Fellowship and the Fellowship of Local Pastors and Associate Members, and he served on several boards for the Church. Survivors include his wife, Linda, of the home; son David Moody Sr., daughter Laura Pendergraft; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Service was Oct. 15 at Sycamore Chapel UMC, Wyandotte. Memorials to: The Gideons International. Gladys Sinclair of Choctaw died Oct. 4, 2013. She was the mother of Rev. Carol Reich, retired. Charles A. Rettig of Norman died Oct. 22, 2013. He was the father of Rev. Chuck R. Rettig, pastor at Barnard Memorial UMC in Holdenville. |
