Passages Rev. Daniel Dean Wynn, 83, of Amarillo, Texas, died April 21, 2013. Dean was born July 3, 1929, in Frederick. He married Darla Reckard on Aug. 1, 1967, in Oklahoma City. His ministry career began in 1952. He served at Hollister-Sanford, Chickasha-Frisco Avenue, Lawton-Highland, Turpin, Gage, Atoka, New Zion, Hinton, Red Rock, Laverne, Rosston, and Hooker. He officially retired in 1995. Survivors include his wife; daughters Carolyn "Wendy" Sammons, Willetta Walcher, and Karla Kitchens; son Stephen Wynn; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Service was April 26 at St. Stephen UMC, Amarillo. Royleen Wells, 87, of Oklahoma City died April 25, 2013. She was the widow of Rev. Charles Wells, who died in 2010. Royleen was born Nov. 3, 1925, in Olustee. Charles and Royleen met at OKC-First UMC. They married on Sept. 8, 1946. For the past 13 years, Royleen lived at Epworth Villa in Oklahoma City. Survivors include children Chuck Wells, Barbara Rounsaville, and Mary Hart; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Memorial service was April 30 at OKC-May Avenue UMC. Elvira De La Rosa Estrada died May 3 in Puerto Rico. She was the mother of Rev. Jose Estrada, pastor of Vida en Abundancia church in Laverne. Clemon Clewell of Watonga died April 30. He was the father of Rev. David Clewell, pastor at OKC-Quail Springs. Gerald Freese of Sapulpa died April 20. He was the father of Rev. Rudy Freese, pastor at Cookson United Methodist Church. Vivian Jacqueline "Jackie" Hale of Nevada City, Calif., died April 18. She was the mother of Rev. Dr. Stephen Hale, an associate pastor at OKC-Chapel Hill.
Births William Daniel Jaynes was born May 2, 2013, to Adriane and Rev. Jeff Jaynes, director of Restore Hope Ministries, Tulsa. Eden Hope Watson was born April 26, 2013. She is the daughter of Melissa and Rev. Kevin Watson, who is appointed to Extension Ministry. He is an instructor at Seattle Pacific University. Anna Ethlyn Nelms was born April 23, 2013, to Melissa and Rev. Andy Nelms, associate pastor at OKC-Nichols Hills Church. |
