The new year will bring a new start for the Wesley House at Northern Oklahoma College, Tonkawa. Members of Tonkawa-First UMC are dedicated to this UM campus ministry, as part of the understanding of their outreach to the community, through the church’s Strategic Plan, explained Pastor Janice Meese. Church members, along with Enid District Superintendent Donna Dodson and her husband, Bill, recently spent a day cleaning and repairing Wesley House to make it ready for reopening in January. Sarah Campbell and Grace Roth clean the campus ministry center’s kitchen. Stony Fath, right, hangs a new light fixture. Wesley House was closed during the fall semester due to a leadership transition. Drew Kirtley began service Dec. 1 as the new director, announced Jim Hill, chairman of the Board of Higher Education & Ministry. Kirtley is a student at Phillips seminary. |
