A CAPITOL CHAPLAIN (Midwest City, Wickline UMC )

A CAPITOL CHAPLAIN—Mark Barnett served as a chaplain in the state’s Senate during the week of April 25. Rev. Barnett, senior pastor at Wickline UMC in Midwest City, was nominated for the role by Sen Cliff Aldridge.

During the legislative session that week, Barnett sat with the Senate president and opened each day’s work with Scripture and prayer. On Wednesday he shared a short message, titled "He Chose the Cross — What Do You Choose?"

Barnett commented, "What an honor to be nominated and be present with some amazing leaders in our state. I truly am in awe at the work they put in to serve our state, reform our country, and please their supporters. What a blessed week!"
