The show began with Rachel Howard, modeling a vintage powwow stomp dress made by her grandmother 50 years ago, and included Bishop Robert Hayes Jr., whose shirt was a gift from South Africa’s Nelson Mandela. In February a VIM team will help build a school on land given by Bishop Bennie and Anna Warner of Oklahoma City. In the group photo, the young models include Howard, right, in the Muscogee-Creek dress. At right, two hostesses complete their costuming. |
