 When a movie crew filmed in Bartlesville, Oak Park UMC learned about Hollywood actor Ben Affleck’s connection to United Methodism. The church’s parking lot served as a dining site for about 100 crew and cast members on Nov. 16. All the church staff were invited to share in the catered luncheon. From left are Pastor David Stewart, actor Ben Affleck, and church leader Kathy Morris. Film star Affleck shared that his daughters were baptized in a United Methodist church. Other special visitors were actress Sissy Spacek, whose husband was involved in the film’s production, and two disabled children with the Make-A-Wish Foundation. |
