Chaplain to speak at Orders Meeting
Karrie Oertli will speak in the Tuesday afternoon session. She is director of the chaplains at Integris Baptist Medical Center, Oklahoma City. Preacher for the day will be Chuck Rettig, pastor of the Holdenville church. He will give the message in the morning worship. The program begins at 10 a.m. The Orders of Deacons and Elders, and the Fellowship of Local Pastors, will meet in their groups at 11:15 a.m. Lunch will be served at noon, courtesy of the Board of Ordained Ministry. At 1 p.m., Rev. Oertli will present. Bishop Hayes will close the program by 3 p.m. Since 1994, Oertli has served as a chaplain at Integris hospital. She now is director of Pastoral Care and administrative director of the Hall Center for Mind, Body, Spirit. Prior to her hospital work, she was a hospice chaplain. Oertli earned degrees from Texas A&M University. In 1991, she received her Master of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and was ordained by Western Hills Baptist Church of Fort Worth, Texas. She was certified with the Association of Professional Chaplains in 1996 and became a supervisor with The Association for Clinical Pastoral Education in 2001.
