Meeting of the Orders
We are so excited to be gathering together for our fall Orders & Fellowship meeting, even if we are not in the same room.  Here are some things to know which will help make the day a success.
  1.  During the morning worship, we will be participating in a Love Feast.  Please gather some type of bread (cracker, roll, sliced bread, etc.) and something to drink (coffee, tea, water, etc.).
  2. You can join the livestream at 11:00 a.m. using this link:
  3. You will also find the order of service at the bottom of this page.
  4. If you are joining the afternoon session, please look for a Zoom Invite a few days before the 22nd
    1. Once you are logged in there will be a 5-minute gathering time. Once the host sees that everyone (or most) has joined, they will put you in breakout rooms.
    2. A prompt will then appear on your screen.  Simply click that to join your breakout room.

  1. If that does not work, please check the bottom of the screen and click on a button which looks like this and join from there:

  1. Once your group is done discussing you are free to leave the meeting.  NOTE leaving the breakout room will put you back in the general meeting.  You then can leave the meeting.

WELCOME                             Rev. Valerie Steele
CALL TO WORSHIP              Rev. James Riggs
Come and let us sweetly join,
Christ to praise in hymns divine;
Hands and hearts and voices raise;
Sing as in the ancient days;
Antedate the joys above,
Celebrate the feast of love.
Give we all with one accord,
Glory to our common Lord.
Hands and hearts and voices raise;
Sing as in the ancient days;
Antedate the joys above,
Celebrate the feast of love.
Strive, we, in affection strive;
Let the purer flame revive;
Hands and hearts and voices raise;
Sing as in the ancient days;
Antedate the joys above,
Celebrate the feast of love.
INTERCESSORY PRAYER            Rev. Cali Depue Eck
UNISON PRAYER                          Rev. Cali Depue Eck
God of earth and heaven
          Thy hungry children feed,
Thy grace be to our spirits given,
          That true immortal bread.
Grant us and all your grace
          In Jesus Christ to prove
The sweetness of thy pardoning grace,
          The manna of thy love.  (CHARLES WESLEY)

SERMON      “What to DO?”     Bishop James “Jimmy” Nunn
A Love Feast is a Christian fellowship meal that recalls the meals shared among Jesus and his followers. John Wesley discovered this custom among Moravians here in the United States, and it became an important part of Methodist ritual. Today, this sharing in the Love Feast represents our commitment to Christ and our commitment to strive for personal and social holiness in all that we do. Like the Jesus’ disciples of old, may we also see Jesus at this table.

DISMISSAL WITH BLESSING               Bishop Nunn
Even as we find ourselves masked in public places,
May our hearts be unmasked always everywhere we go.
Though we find ourselves in uncertain times,
We know the One who is able to bring certainty to our lives.
May God bless you and keep you.
May God’s face shine upon you and be gracious to you.
May God look upon you with kindness and give you peace.
