Disaffiliation Resources
The "Future United Methodist Church" will continue to be a denomination that celebrates the diversity of its laity, clergy and congregations. As the denomination moves into the future, some may consider disaffiliation and will find resources here to discern next steps.
This Guide for Holy Conversations is meant to help members, clergy, and local churches, determine God’s will regarding whether to remain United Methodist or consider disaffiliation.
This Local Church Step-by-Step Guide to Disaffiliation will help a congregation to explore, and prepare for a Church Conference vote to determine whether the congregation does or does not recommend disaffiliation to be voted on by the OKUMC Annual Conference.
To contact the Office of Transitional Ministry, reach out to Director Rev. Tish Malloy, tmalloy@okumc.org, 405-530-2027.
