UMMen Connected!

From: Bert Abla, UMMen District President of the Bartlesville District

“The Bartlesville District UMM, is in need of some help this coming Saturday  Oct. 26 at 9:30 a.m. in Barnsdall to help load some furniture and equipment at Barnsdall-First UMC, located at 200 S 7TH BARNSDALL, OK 74002. I am hoping that some of the churches located closest to Barnsdall can send some men to help.

The Okay UMC, located between Muskogee and Wagoner had a fire a few months ago, and basically lost everything. Apparently, Barnsdall-First UMC is closing it's doors around the end of this month, and they have offered the Okay Church any and all fixtures, equipment, pews, office items etc.

Okay FUMC has already secured a storage area in Okay, as they wait on rebuilding.

In a joint effort with the Muskogee District UMM we are trying to coordinate moving these items from Barnsdall to Okay. The idea is that the Bartlesville District UMM will load the items in Barnsdall at 9:30 a.m. on trucks and trailers provided by Muskogee District men, and the Muskogee men will drive them to Okay and the have help there to unload the items into storage. So based on this plan we need 8-10 men that can meet in Barnsdall this coming Saturday and help load the items.

Can we depend on your help?

Please reply back to me so that I know how many men that the Bartlesville District will have in Barnsdall to support this project. What a great way to serve multiple churches across District boundaries. As we all know there are no boundaries when we serve the Kingdom.

I appreciate everyone's help to support this effort.

Please contact Bert Abla if you have any questions. God Bless and have a great week.”

This is a great example of what can happen when UMMen get connected!  Both groups will be blessed because of what they accomplished together.  Imagine what might happen to the Church, and men’s lives if we can continue to grow the connecton!

You will have a great opportunity to connect with UMMen from other districts on April 12 at Tulsa Asbury UMC!  SAVE THE DATE!
