Monday-Friday: 8:30 a.m. to noon, and 1 to 4 p.m.
Browsing, phone calls, and resource pick-ups

The purpose of The Media Center is to provide useful resources for the local churches of The Oklahoma United Methodist Conference. Resource check-out is only available to United Methodist Churches within the Oklahoma Conference. For information on resource distributors and where to purchase the videos contact the Media Coordinator by phone or email. The Media Center attempts to make available a wide-variety of resources for all ages.

 

The Media Center Checkout Policies

 

WHAT TYPES OF RESOURCES ARE AVAILABLE?
Videos (VHS Format) -- These are the tapes that are used in a VCR.    
DVD's (Digital Video Discs) -- These discs are used in a DVD player.     
 
COST OF THESE RESOURCES
There are no check out fees for each resource, you just pay the return postage. 

RETURN ON TIME OR PAY MORE
There will be a LATE FEE for resources returned late. Reminders will be sent by phone call. If not returned within a reasonable length of time, your church will be charged for the cost of replacing the resource.

If your schedule is thrown off and you need to use a resource longer than scheduled, call the Media Center Coordinator. All possible attempts will be made to accommodate your situation. Keep in mind, though, someone else may have the resource reserved immediately following your reservation.
 
HOW LONG MAY I KEEP A RESOURCE?
The length of time you may keep a resource depends on many factors including the length of the resource (how many sessions for which it is designed to be used), your intended usage and reservations pending. The Media Center Coordinator will discuss all these factors with you and arrive at an agreeable return date. Honor the return date you agree upon.
 
HOW DO YOU ARRANGE TO BORROW THESE RESOURCES?
Contact the Media Center Coordinator. Use is on a first-come, first-served basis. Reserve resources in advance to ensure availability and enough mailing time. Before you call to reserve a resource, decide the date(s) you want to use it (1st and 2nd choice). 
 
UMW STUDY VIDEOS
Each year the Oklahoma UMW makes selected School of Missions Study video resources available to local church UMW groups through The Media Center; the groups do pay the return postage. Reserve these videos as far in advance as possible -- they are popular
