These courses are based upon the same basic courses taken by
seminary students.

2012 

  • October 13, 2012 Course:
    “Introduction to the New Testament” taught by Dr. Wade Paschal:
    A brief introduction to some of the issues and topics in the New Testament. We will look at the communities that gave birth to the New Testament, the documents that formed these books and the issues that motivated the early church to produce the New Testament.

    October 13, 2012 Elective Course:
    “Prayer” taught by Dr. Elaine Robinson
    In this course, we will consider why we pray, what prayer is, and how to pray. We’ll not only talk about this crucial spiritual discipline, but we will also practice some prayer together.

  • All courses will be held on the campus of Oklahoma City University in the Bishop W. Angie Smith Chapel from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with lunch at the OCU cafeteria. The cost per course is $50 ($10 reduced rate for OIMC members).

UNITED METHODIST RURAL FELLOWSHIP

If you are interested in promoting rural ministry and enabling ministries in small churches to grow you could serve on the team of the United Methodist Rural Fellowship.  Representatives from various parts of the Oklahoma Conference are needed.

PROJECT TRANSFORMATION – Help  children and their families engage in the body of Christ

Creative summer day camp programming for inner-city children.
