It Worked for Us

7/19/2013

From left, Clinton District Lay Leader Paula Volenstine, Granite UMC member Lisa Brooks, and pastor Terry Jordan celebrate their It Worked for Us award.

Daniel Dennison, left, and Janey Wilson accept the South OKC District It Worked for Us award on behalf of the Wesley Foundation at the University of Oklahoma.
These annual awards given by the Conference Board of Laity, chaired by Chuck Stewart, salute one lay-led ministry in each district. Herschel Beard announced the 2013 winners during the Celebrate the Laity Luncheon, on May 28 at OKC-St. Luke’s, during Annual Conference. Apparently for the first time since the awards program began, a campus ministry was among the honorees: The Wesley Foundation at the University of Oklahoma.
