Clergy Family



The adoption of Myles Z. Daigle was finalized on Dec. 17, 2012, by Adam and Rev. Shelly Coulter Daigle, pastor at Trinity UMC in Tulsa. Myles’ birthday is Aug. 11, 2011, and he joined the family on Jan. 6, 2012.


Wanda Jean Lemons, 83, of Vinita, died Jan. 13, 2013. She was the wife of Rev. Wishard F. Lemons, retired.

Wanda was born in rural southeastern Oklahoma. She was a retired English and business teacher, with a distinguished career in Tulsa Public Schools and Oral Roberts University.

Avid runners, the couple participated in many of those Tulsa events over the years, including the Wish Lemons Run.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years; sons Clark, Don, Gary, and Mark; daughter Laurie; several grandchildren and a great-grandson.

Service was Jan. 17 was Tulsa-First UMC, with burial at Memorial Park Cemetery, Tulsa.


Eleanor May Cochran, 85, of Montgomery, Texas, died Jan. 2, 2013, in Tomball, Texas. She was the wife of Rev. Carl Thompson Cochran Jr., retired Local Pastor.

Eleanor was born Sept. 17, 1927, in Elizabethtown, Pa. She was a homemaker and a literacy tutor for adults.

Survivors include Rev. Cochran, her husband of 66 years; daughters Jeanine Radican, Michelle Norman, and Anita Wooldredge; son Carl T. Cochran III; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was Jan. 4 at Garden Park Cemetery, with arrangements by Cashner Funeral Home, Conroe, Texas.


Beth Elaine Light died Jan. 4, 2013. She was the mother of Rev. Ed Light, senior pastor at OKC-Grace.

Jerry Nelms of Coweta died Jan. 2, 2013. He was the father of Rev. Andy Nelms, an associate pastor at OKC-Nichols Hills.

Vida Scraper died Jan. 11, 2013. She was the mother of Rev. Randy Scraper, senior pastor at OKC-Nichols Hills, and grandmother of Rev. Matt Scraper, pastor at Marlow.

Jessie Hines died Jan. 14, 2013. She was the mother of Rev. Harold Brown, retired.
