In memoriam

Rev. Wesley Robert Kimball, 86, of Sherman, Texas, died Dec. 25, 2011. His pastoral career began in 1950, and he retired in 1987. He also served 33 years in the U.S. military.

Wes was born March 31, 1925, in Fairview. He married Shirley Reed on Dec. 5, 1964.

He pastored at Marshall, Yewed/Prairie Valley, Sulphur-St. Paul, Gene Autry, Martha, Lawton-Sullivan Village, and Quinton. He also served in the West Ohio Conference.

Survivors include his wife; daughter Anna Allen; sons John, Edward, William, and David; seven granddaughters, nine great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Service was Dec. 28 at Wesley UMC, Hugo.

Josephine Roberta Estes Bayliff Shepard, 92, of Tuttle, died Dec. 29, 2011. She was the widow of Rev. Raymond B. Shepard, who died in 2002.

Roberta was born in January 1919 near Eureka, Kan. She served as Postmaster in Rosston and Buffalo for 20 years. She married Rev. Shepard on Dec. 23, 1973.

She was a member of Mustang UMC.

Survivors include sons Leroy, Robert, Richard, and Raymond Bayliff; daughters Marjorie Kurth, Mary Milburn, Pam Dean, and Debby Duncan; 19 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Service was Jan. 3 at First Baptist Church, Tuttle.

Hattie Williams Davis, 76, of Banks, Ark., died Jan. 2. She was the mother of Rev. Nancy McCullough, Provisional Elder on Leave, and mother-in-law of Rev. Victor McCullough, pastor at OKC-Quayle UMC.

Wedding

On Dec. 31, Pastor Janice Meese of Tonkawa UMC and Pastor Doyle Sharp of Trinity UMC, Purcell, married at OKC-St. Luke’s UMC.
