Your church can post free announcements—job openings, items for sale, upcoming events, and giveaways—in two places on the Conference website, www.okumc.org.
The two sections are titled "Classifieds" and "Local Church calendar."
The Department of Communications is promoting more awareness of these sections to grow connections between churches.
Here are the steps to follow.
- Go to www.okumc.org. Click the link "Brick River Church Login," in the left column. Log in by entering your church’s username and password. (Due to security controls, your pastor or other church official may be the one who does the posting.)
- After logging in to the Brick River console, choose from the menu at the top. Then follow the instructions for each field.
- Use the Classifieds link to submit an item the church wishes to sell or give away, or a want ad. Perhaps your church needs volunteers for a project.
- Church events/workshops/camps/more can be announced through the Events link.
All can view Classifieds postings. Go to www.okumc.org — click "Resources" at the top of that page — then choose "Classifieds" in the left column.
Find Events announcements by also going to www.okumc.org — click "View Calendar" on the right side of that page — then choose "Church" in the row labeled Event type.
