In memoriam

Bob North

Robert James "Bob" North, 66, of Broken Arrow died July 30, 2010. He was the husband of retired deacon Margaret North, formerly an associate pastor at St. Stephens UMC in Broken Arrow.

Bob was born Sept. 11, 1943, in Pryor. He served in the U.S. Army and worked as a buyer for the Engineering Department of Public Service Co. of Oklahoma. Bob and Margaret married on March 6, 1971.

Survivors include Rev. North, son Justin North of Edmond, daughter Kathy Swift of Oklahoma City, and two grandchildren.

Service was Aug. 4 at Tulsa-St. Paul’s UMC, with arrangements by Moore’s Memory Chapel.


Ruby Ware

Ruby Orpha LeCounte Ware, 93, of Anderson, Ind., died June 23, 2010. She was the widow of Rev. Carl W. Ware, who died in 1965.

Ruby was born Aug. 28, 1916, in Bluff. A homemaker, she was also a pianist and member of Quilter’s Guild of Oklahoma.

Rev. Ware, a full-time Local Pastor, was serving Reydon UMC at the time of his death. His ministry began in 1957.

Survivors include daughters Carla Ware of Indianapolis and Deborah Rosenfield of Anderson, four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Service was June 29 at Longwood Cemetery in Ponca City, with arrangements by Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service.

Elizabeth Horton and Eric Ware married on July 3, 2010, at Grace UMC in Oklahoma City. Rev. Horton is campus minister at Southwestern Oklahoma State University, Weatherford, in the Clinton District.

Coy Remer and Jessica Lathem married on July 7, 2010. Rev. Remer is the pastor at Elgin UMC, in Lawton District.


Camron Perceful was born Aug. 9, 2010. He is the son of Lesli and Rev. Chad Perceful, associate pastor at Bartlesville-East Cross UMC.
