When you give $1 to the regular offering at your church, this is how it is used. 90 cents remains with your local church. 8 cents supports ministry in the district, annual conference, and jurisdiction. 2 cents goes to the denomination’s apportioned funds.

An "angel" sits with a special-needs child at Faith United Methodist Church.
One family unit included a special-needs child. A congregation yearned to serve its community. Together, they cooperated to meet a need, and thus was born the Special Angels ministry at Tulsa’s Faith United Methodist Church.
Only a year old, the program has elicited compassion and excitement from members, gratitude and spiritual renewal from parents, and growth and love from the children.

Contributions reached a record high for Oklahoma Conference churches in 2006.
Receipts totaled $15,620,089.56, reported Brian Bakeman, Conference treasurer, on Jan. 12. "That’s up substantially from last year in total dollars received by the Conference," he said.
The total is $772,018 more than the 2005 dollar amount. He noted that Apportionment requests also rose in 2006.
