Reva Mae Hensley

Rev. Reva Mae Prine Hensley, 89, of Bremerton, Wash., died April 16, 2010.

She was born on March 2, 1921, in Table Rock, Neb. She earned a theological degree from Southern Methodist University. She first served in the California-Nevada Conference and, in 1978, was received as an Associate Member of the Oklahoma Conference.

She served as a pastor at Durant-Wesley, Achille, Sulphur-St. Paul’s, Warner, and Porum. After her retirement in 1986, she served at Ada-Wesley and also at several churches in California. In 1992, she moved to Belfair, Wash., and assisted in building the North Mason United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Diana Wilkerson of Roseville, Calif.; a son, retired Navy Cmdr. Roger Nance of Belfair, Wash.; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Memorial service will take place on July 3 at North Mason UMC, with arrangements through Lewis Funeral Chapel, Bremerton.
