In memoriam

Rev. Leonard Dean Cullop Sr., 79, of Woodward died Aug. 30, 2009.

Leonard Dean was born on Nov. 6, 1929, at Manchester. He served in the U.S. Army in the 1950s. Before entering formal ministry, he was a carpenter and mason and worked as a custom harvester. He graduated from Northeastern Oklahoma State University in 1976.

He married Selma Lee Robinson on June 28, 1957, in Edmond. She predeceased him. He married Mary Louise McCoy on Dec. 21, 2001, in Clayton, N.M.

Rev. Cullop began his ministry in Oklahoma in 1974 and retired in 1995. He served at Adair, Olustee, Elmer, Shidler, Grainola, Foraker, Coalgate, Wetumka, Beggs, Braman, Wister, Catesby, and Bridgeport. He also was actively involved with the Walk to Emmaus.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Louise; son Leonard Dean Cullop Jr. of Fort Worth, Texas; daughter Tressie Harzman of Woodward; stepdaughters Betty Warren and Sue Dellis of Amarillo, Texas, and Loretta Gosselin of Kansas City, Mo.; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral was Sept. 3 at Living Word Fellowship, directed by Billings Funeral Home, Woodward.
