Exercise your FaithThree activities at Annual Conference will encourage healthy lifestyles.

1. Earn a $50 gift card by participating in "OK to Wellness" during the conference. This program is open to clergy and laity enrolled in the Oklahoma United Methodist Healthcare Benefits Plan.

Information in each delegate's Annual Conference packet will list 10 activities for the week. Track individual participation on the card, then turn it in at the Health Benefits rooms J120 and J122 at Boston Avenue.

After you complete at least six of the activities, you are eligible for "Wellness Rewards."

The 10 activities include: Health Screening (required), do one 30-minute exercise session, eat heart-healthy meals, participate in the Walk for Wellness on Tuesday afternoon, be tested for lean body mass, complete an online health survey, be a first-time Health Screening participant, link with a Fitness Accountability Partner, and watch a health-related video. Each participant will receive an elastic exercise band and directions for using it.

Maximum award is $150 per family.

2. Walk for Wellness on Tuesday, "Casual Day." Follow the lead of Bishop Hayes on a 1-mile walk, beginning at 4:30 p.m.

Wear comfortable clothing and tennis shoes to cover the route that starts at Boston Avenue church and ends at First church.

The path will be accessible for people with disabilities.

Free bottled water will be available as the walk begins.

At 6:30 p.m., also at First church, the proposed Conference Strategic Plan will be discussed.

3. Free Health Screening for participants enrolled in the Oklahoma Conference Health Benefits Plan, including eligible family members. Others may also undergo the tests, valued at $700, for a $100 fee.

The screening will be offered at Boston Avenue church, in Rooms J120 and J122, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. No appointment is needed. Fasting is encouraged for 12 hours prior to the test.

The program will screen for heart disease and stroke risk factors such as high cholesterol, diabetes, homocysteine, and abnormal thyroid; anemia or infection; colon cancer; and kidney or liver disease. It also includes prostate cancer screening for males.
