Where the money goes:
When you give $1 to the regular offering at your church, this is how it is used. 90 cents remains with your local church. 8 cents supports ministry in the district, annual conference, and jurisdiction. 2 cents goes to the denomination’s apportioned funds.

The chapel offices overflowed again this Christmas season, with an outpouring of gifts from the OCU community for the Angel Tree families at Skyline Urban Ministry, a United Methodist-related mission in Oklahoma City.
A total of 82 individuals-16 families and 14 senior citizens—were the happy recipients of those gifts.

Day at Legislature: Feb. 13
On Feb. 13, criminal justice and immigration will be spotlighted at the state Capitol during the Day at the Legislature, sponsored by the Oklahoma Conference of Churches, an ecumenical group.

In memoriam
Rev. Wesley Robert Kimball, 86, of Sherman, Texas, died Dec. 25, 2011. His pastoral career began in 1950, and he retired in 1987. He also served 33 years in the U.S. military.
Wes was born March 31, 1925, in Fairview. He married Shirley Reed on Dec. 5, 1964.
He pastored at Marshall, Yewed/Prairie Valley, Sulphur-St. Paul, Gene Autry, Martha, Lawton-Sullivan Village, and Quinton. He also served in the West Ohio...Seminary Lite: 3 Saturday courses for laity

Three spring courses in "Seminary Lite" begin Feb. 18 on the Oklahoma City University campus, offered by Saint Paul School of Theology at OCU.
Each course meets one Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and includes lunch. Enrollment is per class; a participant may attend only one—or more.
