Instruction for Associate Membership

Local Pastors who have:

1) reached the age of 40,
2) served at least four years as full-time Local Pastors,
3) completed Local Pastors Licensing School and the Basic Course of Study, and
4) completed a minimum of 60 semester hours toward a Bachelor's degree may apply to become Associate Members.

Associate Members retain their Local Pastor status but enter into the itinerant ministry of the Church and are available on continuing basis for appointment by the Bishop. Upon retirement Associate Members shall retain their license for pastoral ministry and maintain their relationship as retired clergy members of the annual conference.
